Cinema Is This Nova Award Winning Short Film
At the end of 2022 I entered Cinema Nova's Short Film Competition, fast forward to January 2023 and I find out that my film in fact won the Competition. The theme of the short film was a reflection or history of Cinema. For my short film I decided to focus on how Film and Cinema has made a direct reflection on my life, I conveyed this by comparing scenes from films to real footage that I have recorded that were similar to these scenes in my life. I took the authentic emotional approach that could allow audiences to feel connected, relate and be touched by the short film. The organisers of the competition when I met them, even said themselves that they loved the personal and authentic touch to the short film, and felt they instantly felt the emotions and themes because of this.
