My journey, from a 3 year old child, who had very little verbal communication, to a student studying a Bachelor of Communications (Advertising) Degree at RMIT University, is something that makes me (and my speech therapist) very proud.
I have a part-time job as a Social Media Strategy Assistant at Brand Solutions Australia, who are a national sales and marketing organisation in the pharmaceutical and FMCG industries. I manage social media for brands such as Plumrose Australia and Performance Inspired.
When I’m not doing advertising, I bring my vlog camera with me to capture my life's little moments, such as a trip to a record store with my sister or just going to Uni on the train.
Communication is my thing and I'm amazed that I could have a career doing something I love. Using my creativity, photography and videography skills to produce visual content for companies, whether it be in social media, or traditional areas, is what I want to do.
I stand out from other content creators, because I had to fight to be able to communicate. I am quirky, but someone who has always had a strong focus on authenticity, creativity and getting the job done. When it comes to creating videos showcasing products, I focus on what is authentic and real by being honest with my audience, rather than lying about what the
product is, or what it does. I use humour in my work to stand out from the crowd, whilst keeping it real.
